Day Eleven

The Perfect Stage Crew is theater's newest and best reference for crew sponsors and technical directors; available from the publisher, Allworth Press, or at Amazon.com.

Wow. A very full van rolled up to Baltimore today as the PSC prepped the stage for a pre-tech tech rehearsal. The big drop, though not completed, was brought up and hung on a 1 x 4 batten specially built to hold it, the crew determined it hung about four inches too low and raised it into perfect alignment. Abby pretty much finished the focus, and, as we stayed late for the purpose, roughed in the major cues during rehearsal.

The set itself is pretty whole, only one major piece left to build. The rest is "window dressing," scenic painting, and adjustments. We have a few more signs to deal with too.

The ride home was punctuated with notes, some quite irreverent, all agreed it was coming along, and Jesse even admitted to liking the play. The last folks dropped off got to watch the Montgomery County Fire Department in action as there was some sort of electrical problem inside their alma mater. It appeared to be a small problem, but you never know, the firefighters suited up and went in to check it out. John and Ivy were on the scene with cameras at the ready (a scoop for BNC, or is it PSC??).

Get some sleep, it's 9 - 5 Friday
